Checking Things Off the List

Do you ever put something that you've just done onto your to-do list, just so that you can have the satisfaction of crossing something off?  I do.

I've been feeling totally swamped with work lately.  At one of my three part-time jobs - the one where I am the most - it seems like I have so much on my plate that this really should be a full-time job.  But on the upside, being so busy is forcing me to get more focused.

One helpful thing is that I just discovered Hiveminder, a great website for managing task lists.  You can put "tags" on the items, as many as you want, so I'm finding it a useful way to track what tasks are for what jobs, and what location would be best to do them (I do a fair amount of work from home), what things are errands, what are phone calls, etc.  You can then search based on the tags, or priority, etc.  You can also hide items until a specified date... and there are other cool features.  It's pretty great, and I highly recommend it.

Anyway... with no fun knitting projects at the moment, and with little time to spare for blog reading or posting, I'm feeling kind of disconnected lately.  I'm stressed out almost all the time, and haven't been taking the time to practice yoga or do many other things that make me feel happy.  I'll try to work on that.  Hopefully this will pass soon and I'll be back to my cheerful self.
