My, my, my, how the time does fly!
I'm having a great, and productive, summer. Some highlights:
- Working toward the big launch on Friday. Have I mentioned I really enjoy tech editing? (For those who wonder: tech editing is checking patterns for clarity, accuracy & consistency. In a nutshell.)
- Preaching my first sermon at First Parish in Lexington this past Sunday, and noticing that just because I am comfortable leading worship doesn't mean I should be a minister. I'm still happy to no longer have church work as my main gig.
- Stalking my Helena pattern on Ravelry and seeing all the lovely projects by so many knitters. (175 projects as of this writing! whoa!) Love that.
- Working on a secret project for the fall Knitty. Can't wait to show you. But I'll have to.
- Teaching a knit design workshop for the first time. We're about halfway through (I'd planned five sessions, we've had three... I might add one extra.) It's soooo fun to see what my seven students are coming up with! They are all so different and they all have fabulous ideas, which they're well on their way to executing. I'll be teaching this class again in the fall. Leave me a comment or e-mail (alisongreenwillATgmailDOTcom) if you're interested.
- Speaking of teaching, I'll be teaching a lace workshop at Fiber Revival on August 16. Join me!
- And I'm also cooking up a Christmas stocking (I've wanted to design one for years) to teach as a class in September or October.
- What else should I teach this fall?
Life is full. And good.
